Gipson urges White House to keep DACA

SACRAMENTO, Calif --- Assemblymember Mike A. Gipson, chair of the California Assembly Democratic Caucus is urging the White House to retain DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals), a federal deportation protection program for children who were illegally brought to this country.

SACRAMENTO, Calif --- Governor Jerry Brown signed Assembly Bill (AB) 585 by Assemblymember Mike A. Gipson (D – Carson) which seeks to ensure that local port security officers are able to carry batons when performing their regular security duties.

Gipson Bill to Ensure Student Safety Signed by Governor

SACRAMENTO, Calif --- Governor Jerry Brown signed Assembly Bill (AB) 949 by Assemblymember Mike A. Gipson (D – Carson), known as the Background Checks for Sole Proprietors on School Districts Act.  AB 949 seeks to ensure student safety by requiring all sole proprietors to have a criminal background check prior to working on a school campus.

Mobile Park Owner Disclosure Act Signed by Governor

Sacramento, Calif – Today, Governor Jerry Brown signed Assembly Bill (AB) 294, known as the 2017 Mobilehome Park Owner Disclosure Act. AB 294 amends current law to require the management of a mobilehome park to disclose specific information about the mobilehome park owner within 10 business days upon the request of a homeowner.
