Cal Grant

Cal Grant eligibility is based on your FAFSA or CA Dream Act Application responses, your verified Cal Grant GPA and the type of California college you list on your application and whether you're a recent high school graduate.

California Dream Act

Noncitizens without a Social Security card or had one issued through the federal Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program should complete a California Dream Act Application.

Please note: Your personal information provided on a CA Dream Act Application is only used to determine eligibility for state financial aid. By state law, your information is never shared with federal government entities or used for immigration enforcement.


Cash for College Webinars

Need help with your financial aid forms? Register for free Cash for College for webinars throughout the year and get help on your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or CA Dream Act Application (CADAA)!

Webinars are hosted by financial aid experts from the California Student Aid Commission and typically last an hour and a half with a live Q&A session to answer questions.

Some webinars are offered in Spanish, Mandarin and other languages.
