(Sacramento) Assemblymember Mike A. Gipson (D-Carson) presented a check to the City of Carson from the State of California for $14.6 million as a result of SB 1- the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017- which was signed by Governor Jerry Brown last year, and seeks to invest $54 billion over the next decade to fix California’s roads, freeways, and bridges.“Those individuals who live in the State of California talked about and complained about the corroding infrastructure and the potholes in the streets- that when they hit them, it caused additional expenses that people really can’t afford,” said Assemblymember Gipson. “California heard this loud and clear and stepped up to the plate, and is now putting real work to action.” Here’s more in this Assembly Access video: http://www.asmdc.org/gipson.
