(Sacramento) - Assemblymember Mike A. Gipson (D-Carson) honored Ramona Pimentel as the Woman of the Year for the 64th Assembly District during a special ceremony at the California State Capitol. A 40-year resident of the city of Carson, Pimentel is an active volunteer in her community. Throughout the last three decades, she has worked selflessly to lend a helping hand wherever needed, including, a Carson shelter for battered women and their children, the Carson Boys and Girls Club, and the local YMCA. “Ramona is a leader and the epitome of a person who makes people’s lives better by putting them before her own interests,” said Assemblymember Gipson. “She is remarkable in every sense of the word.” Here’s more in this Assembly Access video.
