(Sacramento) – Assemblymember Mike Gipson (D-Carson) led the State Assembly in a special ceremony to honor the bravery of 26-year-old Los Angeles Fire Department firefighter Bryce Gutierrez, who saved four children from a burning house. In his remarks introducing Gutierrez to the Assembly, Assemblymember Gipson recounted the rescue…Upon arriving at the burning home the first responders were told people were still trapped inside. The home’s front windows were secured by bars. Bryce circled quickly to the rear of the home and pried open an unbarred window. Without hesitation and without a fire hose he climbed through the window and discovered four injured children in the home. He single handedly rescued the children.
