CARSON, Calif --- Assemblymember Mike A. Gipson (D-Carson) and Our People Barbershop in Carson partnered to host a toy distribution for local children on Saturday December 23, 2017 at 940 E. Dominguez Street in Carson.
About three dozen eager children filled the bustling barbershop with their families to receive the toys gathered by Asm. Gipson; Tracy Prince, owner/manager of Our People Barbershop; barbers; staff; and volunteers.
After sharing a brief legislative update, Asm. Gipson joined the barbershop team to distribute the toys.
“This has been a tough year for many families. Tracy Prince and the Our People Barbershop team really stepped up to help give back to our community,” said Assemblymember Gipson. “They have exhibited a spirit of caring and generosity that undoubtedly comes from their hearts.”
“Assemblymember Gipson has always looked out for families and children. It was an honor to join him in this Christmas outreach effort to put smiles on the faces of children,” stated Tracy Prince.
