(CARSON, Calif ---) Assembly Democratic Caucus Chair Mike A. Gipson releases the following statement after yesterday’s senseless acts in San Bernardino.
I wish to extend my deepest prayers to the children, families and those affected by yesterday’s tragic events at North Park Elementary School in San Bernardino. We understand that according to officials, Monday’s incident is being described as a murder-suicide where a teacher and an 8-year old boy were killed. A 9-year old was wounded during the incident and is currently recovering. As a member of the Select Committee on Domestic Violence, I look forward to working with Chairwoman and Assemblymember Eloise Gómez Reyes and others on ways we can continue to address and provide domestic violence services in a real and robust way.
