Gipson Selects Bridge-Builder as AD64 Woman of the Year

For immediate release:

(Carson) –Assembly Democratic Caucus Chair Mike A. Gipson has selected Belinda Noguez, formally from Wilmington and now resides in the City of Carson, as the 64th Assembly District Woman of the Year.

“I’m elated to have chosen a community staple in Belinda Noguez as our district’s woman of the year” said Asm. Gipson. “For more than 20 years, Belinda has mentored, inspired and energized members of our community to be engaged.  Whether it’s fostering neighbor-to-neighbor education through Families in Wilmington, helping found the Best Start Wilmington Healthy Lifestyle Group or serving as the pulse of the I Heart Wilmington movement, Belinda has demonstrated her service above self.”

Every March, the state legislature honors women from across the state for their remarkable contributions to the community in celebration of Women's History Month.  On March 6, Belinda Noguez will join 79 other women in Sacramento for a Woman of the Year ceremony sponsored by the California Legislative Women’s Caucus.

Other events of the day include a welcome reception in the Capitol basement before floor session at 1:00 PM, and a formal luncheon on the west steps of the State Capitol immediately following the special ceremony on the floor.
