Assemblymember Gipson joined the Watts Community for its First Annual “Walking n’ Watts” Father’s Day March for Justice and Equality. The Assemblymember walked to the intersection of Compton Ave. and 103rd from Nickerson Gardens and laid on the ground for 8:46, in recognition of George Floyd.

This Assemblymember Gipson joined Kinecta Credit Union, LA Galaxy and Dignity Health Sports Park for a Community Backpack Giveaway at Dignity Health in Carson.

Assemblymember Mike Gipson was joined by Pastor Murchinson of Tree of Life Church, Project Impact and SAAMAD to officially welcome the new MIKE GIPSON HOUSE.  The MIKE GIPSON HOUSE will serve a second chance for brothers and sistes looking for a second chance.  Services that will be provided is economic empowerment, soul-to-soul searching, and other important servies to support a second chance.

In the wake of the nationwide protests for the tragic death of George Floyd, Assemblymember Gipson will be amending AB 1196 to ban the use of the carotid restraint across the state by law enforcement.

Assemblymember Gipson held the I Heart 64 awards ceremony at Compton College.
