Assemblywoman Quirk-Silva Announces $221,210 for Orange County from the Housing Navigators Program

Orange County: Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva (D – Fullerton) is proud to announce that Orange County will be receiving funding to support young adults, between the ages of 18 and 21, to secure and maintain housing, with priority given to young adults in the foster care system.

“I am excited that Orange County will be receiving necessary state funds to address the homelessness crisis in our communities,” said Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva. “It is important to make sure our most vulnerable populations have the resources to access housing.”

The California Department of Housing and Community Development provided the grant through funding from the 2019-20 Budget Act. Through this grant, the county can provide housing navigation services directly or through a contract with other housing assistance programs in the county.

“I look forward to the collaboration between the county and other key stakeholders in the implementation of these funds,” said Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva. “It is a combined effort between the state and local governments to ensure we help those in need within our communities.”
