“As a teacher for thirty years in the Fullerton Elementary School District, I am honored to return to my roots and focus on the needs of our students throughout California,” said Assemblywoman Quirk-Silva. “As an Elementary and Middle School Teacher for over 30 years, I am excited to provide a unique and experienced perspective to the committee and look forward to working with the Chair, Assemblymember O’Donnell and my legislative colleagues.”

The primary jurisdictions of the committee are K-12 education, certification of employees of schools, school finances, and school facilities, among other capacities related to education.
